recently i phoned three to upgrade my phone after around 2 hours on the phone we finally came to a decision and was told my new phone would be with me on monday, until they ran a credit check on me! 2 years ago when i personally upgraded my phone when I was 17/18 years old earring my own money they never bothered to credit check me but now they have - the confusing part of all of this is i told them i am not even the tennent of my own home and i told them i make the average salary of the normal person in the UK, I also have a credit score of 700 (i know it’s not the best but it’s good enough) the phone would’ve cost me around £2 extra a month to what i’ve already been paying for years and have never missed a payment etc. I own a credit card to show companies i am able to pay minimum payments etc and i have no debt!! what is going on can anyone explain, think this is absolutely ridiculous when i am very obviously able to pay a phone bill!! Now they want me to wait 90 days to apply again, don’t think so, as a “loyal customer” i’ll be willing to take my business elsewhere.

All customers are subject to a credit check when upgrading. I know;Ive just done it. Three is a business not a charity and it’s up to them as to the risk they want to take with each customer so wittering on about loyalty counts for nothing. So you have a choice,you can wait 90 days or go elsewhere;it’s entirely up to you.

I’m not your son thank God and I was pointing out Three’s risk factor not your financial status which is of no interest to me. Folk like me (as you put it) have manners and don’t make disparaging remarks as you did. My previous remarks remain relevant;wait 90 or leave and take your credit tale with you.
