calls from 3 promotions department

Have received numerous calls from 3  "Promotions Dept" on 02032 395533 offering significantly better deals than available through normal channel. Does this department actually exist or is it a scam?

Just double checking - have just been called from a number starting 07 saying they are from promotions dept, I am overpaying, they are giving me a refund and have sent a one time code to my phone which I need to share with them. Have said I will call back (did not share code) and just doing some research. Assume I need to block number (and not share code - which did arrive from 3 text service that I normally receive 3 texts from).

Thanks for sharing this here - Three wouldn't call you from a mobile number, and it's reassuring that you were vigilant and didn't share any info.

Such scam calls can also spoof numbers that belong to others. Please block and report this call by texting the word 'CALL' followed by the number to 7726.

This will report this for free, as a phishing attempt and ensure that it's flagged on Three's end.

If you ever receive a call from somebody claiming to be Three, you can chat with Customer Services, who can check your account to verify any genuine contact that has been made.

As @MZone has mentioned, we would only ever call from a number beginning in 0333. We can confirm this isn't a genuine Three caller and would advise you to block the number.

You can also report this to us, by texting the word 'CALL' followed by the number to 7726. This will report this as a phishing attempt, free of charge.

Could be a scam or a 3rd party company that sell 3 contracts. A 3rd party wouldn’t be able to say they are calling from 3 and would have to tell you their company name. Three do their marketing via text with a hyperlink or email and Three’s numbers always start with 0333. If the deal sounds too good to be true then it’s probably a scam.
