My 3 contract recently came to an end, as an existing customer of over 20 years, I was told that I had to do a credit check to get the new iPhone 15.
is this really true, our entire family of 5 have all been long standing customer of 3. If indeed this is true, then our loyalty to 3 no longer counts. There fore we would be leaving 3.
can someone please confirm if indeed this is the new policy

At long last 3 have copied O2. When you take out a new contract it is in 2 parts. The phone is an interest free loan for a fixed period and an airtime agreement. This is great because when you have paid for the phone your monthly payment drops as you only pay for the airtime. Currently, after the contract has ended, we carry on paying for the phone even though we have already paid for it.
A credit check is required to cover the interest free loan for your new handset. There have been a few posts on this.
