upgrading phone with watch contract

Hi, 

I am looking at upgrading my phone that ends this month, but I have a watch contract linked to it that doesn't end until September. 

If I upgrade my phone now, I am assuming my watch will still work as normal as it is linked to the account rather than the phone, so will just need to pair it to the new phone? Or am I going to have issues with it? It's the Galaxy watch 4 if that makes any difference

Hey there.

Your smartwatch is paired with your phone, @RB91 .

If you're upgrading and keeping the same number, you should be able to unpair from your old phone and then pair the new one without disrupting your smartwatch add on.
