Hi all new customer here just received 4g broadband router today and can’t get a speed higher than 5mbs can anyone help give advice please
yesterday
I’m having the same issues. Just took out a new contract as i couldn’t get a new router without one as was on a rolling contract, was told I would get the newest router and I do still get great coverage. Got the router yesterday, it’s the same type I received when I first signed up over 2 years, so not so new after all. I’ve tried it in every room and still only get about 5mbs. Cant watch anything steady without interruptions. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hello there.
To confirm, were you also getting a maximum of 5mbps on the old router as well?
Pete.

Hi @ShaunR,
Sorry to hear the speeds are letting you down. Have you tried experimenting with where you place the router? Generally the best position is somewhere high, especially window sills, and it's best to place the device at least one metre away from other electric appliances. More info here.
You can also use the link @Geluk shared to check the normal expected coverage, and the Network Status in case there's any temporary issues that may be causing this.
Hope this helps,
Jonathan

Didn't you check their NETWORK COVERAGE page before signing up?
