Hi,
I live of the border of a 5g area, I'd like to know if the 5g home broadband router also supports 4g+ in case I'm unable to get 5g.
If not then maybe I'm better off ordering the 4g+ router instead.
Anyone able to confirm one way or the other ?

That would depend if you live in an area with 4G+ available. 4G+ is used to show that your device is using 2 or more LTE bands simultaneously not all devices will show it as 4G+ though

Yes I do live in an area with 4g plus.

Hey there.
The 5G router that's currently offered on the 5G plans is capable of using 4G+ whenever 5G isn't available. Generally though, the team won't sell 5G broadband in areas where there's no 5G services available.
You can use the coverage checker on the broadband page to see which services would be sold to you based on the area.
Pete.

Yes I’ve noticed that they restrict the option to purchase. What is annoying is I’m literally on the edge of the 5g coverage.
4g+ is probably good enough but I’ve noticed the hub doesn’t have Wifi6 support (as this was added to the 5g hub) which is a shame so I have my reasons for trying to get my hands on the 5g one even if I can only use 4g+.
