Until recently, I've had absolutely no issues with 5G service or the router itself.
I can deal with the odd connection drop and reboot (which has been happening much more frequently of late). But now I'm getting fluctuating ping, seemingly out of the blue.
(ping google.com -t)
Before: stable, circa 20ms
Now: wild, from 10 to 80+, never settles
(When I ping the router I get stable <1ms. And for reference, I'm London SE8, firmware b15.)
Has the network quality just nosedived? I've checked for channel clashes, turned off IPv6 and Protected Management Frames. No change. Am I missing something?
For someone who uses their computer all day for work and play, the experience has become notably boggy. Luckily I'm on a monthly rolling contract. Time to pull the plug?
