Home Broadband blocking some wired & wireless devices

Fledgling

Hi

i have been having issues for the last few weeks with my 5G Three home broadband. Our phones, tablets and a laptop are all connecting to the hub and getting internet access without issue but the Nintendo Switch is showing a connection to the router but no internet behind it, showing a DNS error which persists even when I reset / reboot everything & manually change to an alternate DNS recommended by Nintendo on their site.

I also have 2 wired devices, a Yale CCTV DVR & a Yale home alarm hub which connects multiple wireless PIRs, door sensors & smoke alarms. Up until a few weeks ago all of these devices were working without issue.

I’ve tried full reboots / power cycling of all the devices, resetting them all and the Three hub to factory settings and restarting from scratch & reconnecting - same issue.

I’ve checked advanced settings as admin & everything looks fine. Any help gratefully received.

I see from other posts now of the same router (Zyxel NR5103E) that a firmware update last month is causing all these issues. I’ve applied the fix noted here (https://community.three.co.uk/t5/Broadband/FYI-IPv6-Prevented-VPN-Connection/m-p/14851) of changing to manual APN & changing it from ‘3internet’ to ‘three.co.uk.’ and rebooting the router has done the trick and allowed the Switch & Yale wired devices to access as normal again.
