For the past 4 days three has said there is in issue in my area, this has caused me horrible download and upload speeds under 1mb
Any idea how long three takes to fix an issue or where i can find out

Yup, over a year of the "we're fixing an issue in your area..."
Tip, this is a lie, they have zero intention of fixing anything.
Like privatised water, trains, electricity etc etc, they under invest, increase your charges, ensure shareholders are constantly rewarded all whilst you suffer dreadful service.
To be honest they may as well just come to your home, punch you in the face on your doorstep, urinate on the dog and sneeringly thank you for your subscription.
Seems to be.

You can try live chat but it's very doubtful that they will know. From past posts it could be days or weeks depending on what broke.
If you contact customer services their script will ask you to turn the device on and off and then revert to factory settings. Also check the network status checker to see if there is an ongoing local fault.
