NR5103EV2 - Refurbished ?

Broadwood
Fledgling

I'm a new customer and received what I expected to be a new NR5103EV2 via DPD last Wednesday (20/11/2024), set it up successfully and I'm more than happy with the results so far, but I've discovered by logging in from my phone that the unit isn't new.

Having accessed the received SMS messages that are stored it is plain that the unit was issued to a previous customer back in August 2024 with a different sim card and phone number.

Is this normal ?

Hello there.

Welcome to the Three Community.

Generally the Hub should be Factory reset before you get it, but yes, the 5G Hubs can be previously used by someone else. Three do not sell the 5G hubs, and it's only provided for the duration of the contract. It is expected to be returned to Three when the contract ends.

If you're concerned that some of the settings are not right, you can complete the factory reset in order to set the device back to default settings.
