Struggling to Resolve £50 Gift Card Issue via Compare the Market

Hi everyone,

Has anyone here successfully received the £50 gift card from the Compare the market promotion? I signed up for the deal, and since my contract started on 10 September (112 days ago), I’ve been stuck between Three and Compare the market customer service. Both teams keep passing responsibility to the other, and the validation process still hasn’t been completed.

I spent an hour yesterday chatting with various representatives from Three support, who claimed that the promotion is advertised on Compare the market and has nothing to do with Three. Today, I received the following response from a Compare the market representative:

"As previously explained, all gift cards and vouchers offered on the Broadband pages are managed by the providers. We do not have any access to them. I'm afraid I would not be able to say how Three validates their orders as we do not have access to them. I would recommend contacting Three, informing them of what I have told you, and requesting a supervisor to investigate this further for you."

This is incredibly frustrating. If anyone has managed to resolve this issue, please share how you did it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Dear Jonathan, thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I have not received any communications regarding the promotion since signing up. However, I do have a screenshot of the Compare the market deals page that featured the Three offer.

From my understanding, the promotion required me to sign up with Three via the link provided on Compare the market, which I did, and I should have automatically been eligible for the £50 gift card. Now, both Three and Compare the market are stating that the other party is responsible for handling the promotion.

This lack of clarity is very frustrating, as I have no idea who to contact to resolve the issue. While it may not be a significant amount of money, the promotion was advertised, and I signed up in good faith expecting it to be honoured.

I’d greatly appreciate any guidance or further investigation into how this can be resolved.

Best regards

Hi @AK2,

I'm sorry to hear about this situation. I'm not familiar with a £50 gift card promotion but I can see you found another similar topic on the Community. From my reading of that, the author was in touch with Compare the Market who acknowledged a delay.

Do you have a link to the terms and conditions, or have you received any communications like emails or texts about the promotion? These may help confirm who takes ownership between Three, CtM or it may be another 3rd party.

Please let me know if you have any information like that, I'll be happy to help investigate further.

Thanks,
Jonathan
