Hey FadedHazard,

Welcome to the Three Community!

That's a great question! It will depend on the router you are using and its software. Are you able to share the model of the router?

Hi,

I have a "5G Home Broadband" plan and the model of my router is H122-373. I am looking for a way to ssh into my desktop computer over the Internet. To do this I need the public IP address of my router and I also need to configure my router to forward the traffic received on port 22 to my desktop computer.

How can I do that?

Hi user6438792,

Welcome to the Three Community.

I've reached out to a device specialist to see if we can get any more information on how to do this. I'll let you know if I get an update for you.

Hello, I'm looking for the same, a public IP address too, looking at the Three Ireland site, this can be done, I also have a H122-373 router and am on Unlimited Home Broadband

Thanks

Hi folks,

Sorry this took so long to locate the information, but I did finally track down some info on the H112-373 for port forwarding.

1. The Device must be in router mode, not bridge mode.
2.Go to Advanced Settings-> Security -> Special Applications. Click on + to add a new rule. This will open a prompt window.
3.Set the name, port number and Trigger protocol on the prompt window and click on Save.
4.The new rule will appear be applied. A reboot shouldn’t be necessary but might be useful in some cases.
