I’d be really grateful if someone could help with this because it’s sending me absolutely nuts!!!
I have a Zyxel NR5103E router and it seems I can no longer set a fixed IP for anything added to the network.
I just get this error.
Warning: Need to disconnect/connect the device or release/renew IP.
I have 35 fixed IP’s already, so it’s obviously worked ok in the past.
For clarification, I just like everything to be neat, with my PC’s in one range of IP’s, my cameras in another and my smartplugs in another etc rather than random IP’s spread all over.
Does anyone know how to release an IP of a unit such as a smart bulb or plug?
I’ve even tried setting the dhcp lease to 5 minutes and disconnected the item from the network, but still get this error when I try to change the IP.
I even tried setting an IP for a PC that had never even been on the network and still got the same error.
Has something changed/failed in the software for this router?
