broadband issues in fife

I have had slow internet since December in KY11  100mbs down to 25mbs or slower.

The network checker says

We're working on fixing an issue in this area at the moment. We're sorry for any disruption this may be causing. We hope to have things fixed as soon as possible and will add any updates here.

I have spoken to the chatline and they said that they were having issues accessing the mast as it is on private land. (I think this is correct though this conversation was several weeks ago).

I have asked the chat again 2 weeks later and there was still no update.

Is there any update or timeline for this to be fixed.

Has the issue been fixed? I chose Three because my building doesn't have fibre, but I am thinking of switching to cable even if the speeds are slower.

25 mbps is great compared to the 0.5 mbps that I am getting now. I got the same response from the helpline and no timeline of when things would be fixed. I genuinely cannot stand this internet and I am not sure what to do. Filing a complaint as Maxine said doesn't seem like it would do anything but neither does anything else. I know those engineers aren't doing jack.

There is still no fix or update.

I'm getting 16 mb/s today. Which is useable; thought he connection stalls a couple of times an hour and takes up to 2 mins to start up again.

If the other broadband options in the area weren't slower speeds and more expensive I would have changed already.

I'm extremely frustrated because my building does not have full fibre, and otherwise it would be more expensive for lower speeds as well, but I'm thinking of just using data. I don't understand how speeds like this are even possible.

That is dreadful.

I'm getting the same speed data as my broadband as they both use the same mast.

Hopefully they fix the issue soon.

Hey reid,

We're sad to hear you're having these speed issues. This isn't something that we can check from here when the works will be finished as the team you'd spoken with have this information. We know it's not ideal but, please know our engineers are doing everything they can to gain access and have this fixed as soon as possible.

In the meantime, you can look at making a complaint if you feel this isn't right.

Maxine
