Trying to set up my Apple Watch with the mobile service set up but when it takes me to the three log in page, I enter my details but this error keeps appearing.

‘THERE IS A PROBLEM’

’one of the fields is missing’

There no other fields to fill in

Did you ever get a response to this? I’ve got exactly the same issue and been told that I have to take it into a three store to do the setup? I’ve also read somewhere that I need to add a bolt on for £7 pcm to connect the smart watch but that they can’t do this over the phone?!

So I’ve managed to get this to work for me today. What did it for me was:

* turn off wifi, connect only via mobile

* in Safari, clear cookies / settings

* in Safari, turn off hide IP (settings > Safari > Hide IP Address > turn off)

* in Safari, disable Tracking and fingerprint protection (settings > Safari > Advanced > Tracking & Finger print protection > Off).

After doing this, I followed the pairing steps but filled in the password field first before the email field and Presto! Don’t forget to re-enable the Hide IP and Fingerprint / Tracking Protection!!

So I have got a Apple Watch series 9 and got delivered today I’m having all these issues now I find out that it’s been well know and they happily just sign you up without telling you, so basically I have a watch now that I can’t even use cellular and paying a 24 month contract for pairing and I can’t pair

Hi @Nds9488,

Which error are you getting? The one of the fields is missing one? There's a couple of different scenarios, but in the first instance try the following.

Check that you can log in to My3 successfully with a browser or the Three App.
If you have any special characters in the password remove these, use a combination of upper, lower case, and numbers to keep this secure.
Make sure that Safari is your default browser
Clear your Safari data in Settings > Safari > Clear History & Website Data.

Some users have advised that filling in the password field then the username seems to help with this error too.

Let me know if that gets this working for you.

Thanks,
Jonathan

For anyone still having an issue with the Samsung Watch 6 trying to connect to the mobile plan and receiving the "There's a problem. One of the fields is missing." error try this.

On the watch go to Settings> Connections> Mobile Networks and select "Always On". Then go back to the Wearable App> Watch Settings> Mobile Plans and log in again. This should get you passed the error message and allow you to select your plan.

This worked for me

Hi @Elliethree,

Sorry for the delay getting back to you here. Are you having the same error about a missing field?

Thanks,
Jonathan

I have connected to it.

1st changed password inc no special characters just letters and number (caps are fine)

2. only do it over gps not on WiFi

3. clear website data

That’s how it worked for me

Quite frustratingly, I had the same problem. Spent hours on Live Chat with support and got told all manner of things:

  • I have to switch the SIM for my iPhone to eSIM then add watch - I have this successfully setup for another phone/watch which has a nanoSIM
  • I have to login with phone number, not email address - The login clearly requires email address
  • The problem is at Apple’s end, I need to contact them for support - the problem is on the Three webpage
  • I need to buy a smart watch pairing add-on via My Three - there’s isn’t one on My Three to purchase
  • I have to wait 24 hours and then try again
  • The watch isn’t supported - it is a supported model

Glad I googled to see if other people have had the same problem. My password did indeed contain special characters (as good strong passwords should). Changed it to one without… tried again and worked straight away.

Thanks to Jonathan for the solution. Disappointed that Three weren’t able to provide this information from Support.
