Good afternoon, I started noticing this a couple weeks ago but didnt think it was out of the ordinary. I signed up for a contract for the Z Flip 3 in November 2021 it is now October 2022. After using the phone for a while I began to notice some bubbles along where the phone folds, I didnt think nothing of this at first until I started hearing cracking/popping noises coming from what I can imagine is the screen. Bare in mind I havent dropped this phone once. Now skip forward to today, the screen has stopped doing the popping noise or is it at least doing it less often. Today comes and I hear a loud pop come from the screen portion when I fold it, I am now beginning to see what looks like cracks forming just above the crease line. And I was wondering since this appears to be a known fault according to google. Is it too late to swap my phone whilst in contract to a non foldable or will I have to pay a fee despite me having what appears to be a widespread fault?

Eek! A cracked screen is the last thing you want, David, sorry that's happened.
Samsung are best placed to examine your phone and to suggest any repair or replacement (as well as carry that out), and as your phone is still under warranty, they'll take care of that for you. You can find out more about booking an assessment online or arrange a doorstep repair using WeFix.

This is a question for a lawyer. If you sign a 2 year contract is it reasonable to expect the network to replace a faulty phone, for free, during the period of the contract?
Answers on a postcard please.

I do not see any issue here under UK law you are covered for a refund or replacement. 12 months no quibble and longer if the fault was part of manafacture fault design 5 years. No doubt other opinions will be along but in reality if you owned a business and supplied a customer with this phone what would you expect ? Three are no different just because they are a big corporate giant.

My Fold3 had a very similar issue, went onto the Samsung website and booked someone to come out in a van and fix it (free of charge).
While he was at it he also replaced the battery and 'recalibrated' the camera.
I booked it on the Thursday and they came the following Tuesday.
