Hello,
I have an iPhone with 3 which gets full bars of 5G (the mast is right outside). I have just bought a prepaid 5G sim for the 6th Generation iPad Pro (2022 model) and it only gets 3G.
I’ve swapped the sims over and the sim from the iPad gets 5G in the iPhone. The iPhone sim which did get 5G on the iPhone only gets 3G in the iPad. So it seems the issue is with the iPad, not with the sims.
I’ve switched it off and on, reset network settings, switched airplane mode off and on and checked the APN, but still no luck.
The 3 help pages says that 5G is not supported on that device, yet 3 are selling it promising super fast connectivity with 5G - so they either do support it or they are mis-selling.
Does anyone have any idea of what else I could try to get it working on 5G?
Thank you!

Thanks! Are 3 going to add compatibility before they ditch 3G?

you should be getting 4G on your iPad.

Only 3G unfortunately. I can get 4G on the iPhone (although since I get full bars of 5G that is what I use).

Seems like a good reason to buy one from O2.
