After 20 years ive had enough!

Fledgling

I can no longer tolerate the poor mobile signal and inconsistent service that 3 consider acceptable so after twenty years as a loyal customer ive ported my number to 1pMobile (EE network).

My 5G home broadband contract taken out last year has been beset with problems with infrastructure upgrades (Almost total loss of service for 5 weeks recently) and router (Hub) issues so following repeated calls to customer service in India they agreed to terminate my contract penalty free. I've once again opted for the EE infrastructure and am going full fibre via PlusNet, more money but hopefully a reliable service with clear customer support if needed and user friendly website!

Not sure what 3 are up to and the merger with Vodaphone may or may not help matters over the forthcoming but the 5G service isn't for everyone despite what the inaccurate coverage checker shows, the web site is clearly stuck in the dark ages and the Indian call centre is enough to give you a stroke!

Hey there.

It's disappointing to hear you've moved on after all that time with Three. It sounds like you've had a run of bad luck in your area lately, as that's not the level of service I'd generally expect.

Hopefully things will be smooth sailing with your new provider, but hopefully you be back with Three some day in the near future.

Pete.

It's becoming a recurring theme across this forum. I think the best thing would be to admit Three's data coverage isn't what it once was. I've been a loyal Three customer since 2013 but noticed over the last 4 years the data coverage has become increasingly worse, even in areas where it used to be fine. My contract is up in September, and can't wait to switch to another mobile provider.

Hi @GeoffP,

If that's your experience I'm sorry to hear this. Coverage and capacity can vary from place to place. I hope that you do see improvements soon. We've recently merged with Vodafone and part of this involves a multi billion investment plan to build the UK's strongest network both in terms of speed and reliability.so we do expect to see really great improvements in the course of time.

If you're frequently finding issues around where you live or work, and there's no signs of local issues on the Network Status Checker, then I'd recommend to get in touch so we can look into this further.

Thanks,
Jonathan
