Calling issue 23/01/2025 [UPDATED]

Hi everyone,

UPDATE: Following an issue affecting voice calls yesterday, services have almost returned to normal overnight. Our monitoring has picked up an issue with calls connected via WiFI which we are investigating urgently.

Today, we also expect to see an additional impact on our service due to Storm Éowyn in some areas. We have already deployed extra engineering resources and planning for these areas, so we can bring sites that are impacted back online as soon as it is safe to do so.

A normal volume of 999 calls were connected yesterday and our monitoring confirms the service is working fully this morning.  We continue to investigate the small number of reports that we received about 999 call failures. We apologise sincerely for the inconvenience caused by the issues on our voice network. 


Due to these issues, our phone and chat lines are and will continue to be incredibly busy, so we're aware there may also be issues getting through to the teams at the moment. Please bear with us as we work through this.

Absolute atrocious performance from them yet again there very quick if your DD failed for unknown reason and disconnect the service if they cannot reach you like we can just answer our phones whilst at work !

i am unable to make for receive calls. It either makes one ring or doesn't call at all. This happened only today.

I cant make any calls and receive a call. My friend tried to call me but it just connecting, no ring or dial tone

this is affecting ALL 3 users not just "some" as 1 post stated over an hour ago and funny thing is i received an e-mail from 3 in regards to new Save up to £466 on the epic Samsung Galaxy S25 .. so you're e-mail system is up and running and it can't send out an apology to it's customers, instead it sends out a message of buying a new handset for the network .. remind me how are customers supposed to do this with no outgoing or incoming calls?

 

what about those who had universal credit appointments today or any other appointment are 3 going to be contacting those companies or releasing a press statement about the outage so it's publicly known of what happened.

 

from what we can see it's gone country wide for the outage, can't even call my voicemail to see if i have any missed calls

Same here in Devon. Tried the Network Checker but tells me to enter a postcode (I did). Then it tells me the postcode is wrong (it's not). Now the submit button isn't working.

No way of making a complaint without going through that first. Tried Live Chat and got 504 Gateway error
