Calling issue 23/01/2025 [UPDATED]

Hi everyone,

UPDATE: Following an issue affecting voice calls yesterday, services have almost returned to normal overnight. Our monitoring has picked up an issue with calls connected via WiFI which we are investigating urgently.

Today, we also expect to see an additional impact on our service due to Storm Éowyn in some areas. We have already deployed extra engineering resources and planning for these areas, so we can bring sites that are impacted back online as soon as it is safe to do so.

A normal volume of 999 calls were connected yesterday and our monitoring confirms the service is working fully this morning.  We continue to investigate the small number of reports that we received about 999 call failures. We apologise sincerely for the inconvenience caused by the issues on our voice network. 


Due to these issues, our phone and chat lines are and will continue to be incredibly busy, so we're aware there may also be issues getting through to the teams at the moment. Please bear with us as we work through this.

This is ridiculous! How can a whole network be down

They could update us as u say but we get nothing and according to their network checker there is no issues

Am still unable to make it receive calls. Do you have an estimate of when this will be resolved ? Thanks

I cannot believe that there has been no update posted by 3 even if it is to say they are still working on the problem or what exactly the problem is.  Issues happen but the complete lack of information and updates is totally unacceptable!

Any updates, the hospital tried calling me all day yesterday to notify me my bloods were too low ( cancer patient) eventually someone took the initiative to text but need to speak to them today and no other phone

'Small percentage' , don't make me laugh. I really have been a loyal customer since Three started almost 3 decades ago. Now being disabled and unable to receive calls or contact anyone through voice, I think it may be time to leave. Such a shame. used to be a good company who were always truthful.

This is completely unacceptable, not being able to make calls I'm sure we can all live with but not being able to call emergency services! How is this even possible? This has been going on all day.

Your phone lines are busy??? How when we cannot even call 3 ??? Appalling..it is now 22.51pm and still not working!
