Calling issue 23/01/2025 [UPDATED]

Hi everyone,

UPDATE: Following an issue affecting voice calls yesterday, services have almost returned to normal overnight. Our monitoring has picked up an issue with calls connected via WiFI which we are investigating urgently.

Today, we also expect to see an additional impact on our service due to Storm Éowyn in some areas. We have already deployed extra engineering resources and planning for these areas, so we can bring sites that are impacted back online as soon as it is safe to do so.

A normal volume of 999 calls were connected yesterday and our monitoring confirms the service is working fully this morning.  We continue to investigate the small number of reports that we received about 999 call failures. We apologise sincerely for the inconvenience caused by the issues on our voice network. 


Due to these issues, our phone and chat lines are and will continue to be incredibly busy, so we're aware there may also be issues getting through to the teams at the moment. Please bear with us as we work through this.

Disgusted..no information given about issues, the whole family have not been able to make or receive calls and cannot even get through to 3! Absolutely appalling😡

This outage has caused me to miss my doctors telephone appointment. I won't get another one now for at least a month!

I am extremely annoyed. I hope we are all getting refunded.

Same issue as everyone else that has commented. Not being able to make or receive calls. Like someone else has said would be nice if someone from three communicated with it's customers about the issue instead of trying to search and find out what is happening.

It's by far more than a small percentage effected by this calling issue !! I can't contact 3 because service is down. I can't check the network coverage because the service is down. The automated chat helpline is unable to answer the simple questions im asking ? If 3 do not offer adequate compensation for this I will be forced to leave.

Is their a issue in the cumbria area 

As my signal keeps dropping out and in areas we're I have good signal I can't make calls etc been like this for a couple weeks now 

I use my phone a lot for work and its annoying I can't make calls and when I do get through it drops out and they here bits of the conversation...
