Calling issue 23/01/2025 [UPDATED]

Hi everyone,

UPDATE: Following an issue affecting voice calls yesterday, services have almost returned to normal overnight. Our monitoring has picked up an issue with calls connected via WiFI which we are investigating urgently.

Today, we also expect to see an additional impact on our service due to Storm Éowyn in some areas. We have already deployed extra engineering resources and planning for these areas, so we can bring sites that are impacted back online as soon as it is safe to do so.

A normal volume of 999 calls were connected yesterday and our monitoring confirms the service is working fully this morning.  We continue to investigate the small number of reports that we received about 999 call failures. We apologise sincerely for the inconvenience caused by the issues on our voice network. 


Due to these issues, our phone and chat lines are and will continue to be incredibly busy, so we're aware there may also be issues getting through to the teams at the moment. Please bear with us as we work through this.

Your phone lines are busy??? How when we cannot even call 3 ??? Appalling..it is now 22.51pm and still not working!

When will this be fixed. No phone all day. Had to use WhatsApp to call people and I have now run out of data. Don’t really want to buy more data when I need it for calls

This is a joke how long to stay without being  not able to use a phone for business call loss who will compensate

My mother is in ICU & there unable to reach me if anything happens. Cannot ring for an update:

Guys there no some but millions customers have the same issue today. Same me. Very bad and I'm in three just 4 days. Think to back vodaphone.

Due to the fact that we are paying for a service that we can not use and that you can not provide and for nearly 9 hours and could be longer. Will customers be compensated? It has my impacted work and for many others.

It's been 5 hours since your post and been since approx 2pm when I lost my phone calls. Will amy of us get an update at any point as we need to have resolve or alternative options and just being kept involved as it affects us normally calms most people down.

Still didn’t receive the emergency alerts. Everyone else in The household did as on other networks… sort it out 3!
