Data Roaming in the EU, do I select "National Roaming" or "All Networks"?

Hi, I'm going to travel in the EU later on and I want to make sure I've made the correct selections in the Connections menu on my Samsung Galaxy A40 (Android 11).

In Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Data Roaming, there are 3 options:

  • Disable
  • National roaming only
  • All networks

Which should I select so that my phone stays connected for data, internet and calls please?

Thanks in anticipation

Hi @tmetford,

This should be "All networks" as you'll be using International Roaming. National Roaming isn't supported by UK networks, other than for contacting the emergency services.

Thanks,
Jonathan

good luck. I am being charged to text and call in France even though I have paid the go roaming fee. You're better off getting a local sim or use a cheap sim from lebara sim for a few pounds and cancel when you get back
