Extremely slow 4/5g phone data

Anyone know why threes 4&5G network is super slow? Im paying alot for unlimited data and I can't even seem to watch a 30 second clip without it constantly buffering it's getting that annoying I'm wanting to cancel out my contract and go with someone else like seriously it's slower than the old dial up they had back when the internet first came out

I've tried restarting my phone and network settings I'm point blank refusing to resetting my phone as I have alot of stuff onit that I need and don't fancy spending all day re-installing everything it's just completely ridiculous

Thanks

Fledgling

I have the same issue, the mobile network speeds for 4&5G are absolutely rubbish, then again this country in comparison to other countries i have been to has a less developed mobile and cable network infrastructure, or so it would seem.

The network status page indicates that "We're working on fixing an issue in this area at the moment. We're sorry for any disruption this may be causing." that's weeks now of them trying to fix an issue or so they say.

I think this country should go back to coal and steam power as it can't handle the digital age. 😂

Hi @linkrwilde, welcome to Three's users forum

Has this slowness started recently? And could be there are some works in your postcode area.

Check the network coverage and network status pages

If it is poor coverage/signal problems resetting your phone won't do anything apart from annoyance

Same old crap I've checked the coverage and it says all is fine I swear you guys are dropping my signal I've got 2 months on my contract and after 5 years I'm definitely changing O2 is way faster

Hi @linkrwilde,

I'm sorry to hear this, but please bear in mind this is a customer forum, so most members aren't employed by or represent Three. I appreciate you're frustrated with your Three experience, but please be mindful that you're addressing a fellow customer who is providing constructive advice when you've replied to jr0 here.

It's highly unlikely that anyone is intentionally interfering with your signal, but there could be some sort of coverage limitation or congestion issue that the checkers aren't picking up, but that doesn't make it any less valid as a starting point for figuring this issue out.

Have you been in touch with customer services or our tech teams about this issue if it's been going on for a long time now? If so did they have any more advice of info about any known issue or local faults with the network?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Well no offence to anyone but if there actual customers and not workers then why are they talking to me like they are? Like seriously haven't people got anything else better to do?!? Get a hobbies or a job FFS 🤣
