Home broadband change to main phone contract?

Hello so I have a 5G home broadband contract that I took out in store thinking In a panic as my home broadband was getting delayed and install messed up. 

so now I’m paying for two home broadbands. 

I also have a sim only from a different company, I was wondering could I port my number to the home broadband sim and use that and save myself £12 a month ?

Don’t think you can make calls or send texts using the home broadband SIM. It’s for data purposes only.
