Hi @Teppic,
What you've tried so far are good things to check. may also be worth trying toggling airplane/flight mode on and off a couple of times.
You can also check in your settings for network or carrier selection and set this to manual. This should give a list of available networks, and if you try selecting these one by one, you can test if any of these are providing service. If you do this, make sure to set network selection back to automatic when you return to the UK.
