I have 2 "3" PAYG phones; how come only one receives a warning text from "3" when there

is planned engineering work affecting my postcode?

Hello, Geluk.

It's not always guaranteed that a text message will be received in relation to outages or work being completed. In some cases we may miss a few. For the most part though, we get most users phones with an update.

If you often find that one number isn't getting messages from us but another is, there could be other reasons for that. It could be that the account hasn't been registered at the same address, and so isn't eligible for the same warnings. It may also miss out on warning messages if the SIM is not often used in the affected area. You may also not receive messages with warnings if the account has been configured to not allow messages from ourselves, or if the phone has been set up to block our messages by accident.

Check out a few of those possible reasons, fingers crossed one of them leads you to the solution.

Pete.

If you've ever asked the customer service team to make sure that you don't get any messages from us, this would be checked by speaking to them again. If it's not something you've asked for before though, you probably won't have to worry about that.

It's entirely possible it was just missed, as it's not something that can be guaranteed each time.

Pete.
