I have bought a preloaded sim but it says I have nothing when I insert it can someone advise what I need to do

The “seller” will have provided an activation code on the receipt with the sim or with the packaging.

You mean you’ve bought a sim whereby you paid the cost of the bundle upfront? In my experience when you do this the activation code is on your receipt so you’ll need to enter that on your handset. The sim has to be activated and the credit applied.
