Both my wife and I are on holiday in Denmark. We have both received “Rate advice” msg from 3 welcoming us to Cape Verde. Me today. Her yesterday. We are 4000km from there!

only common things:

same journey here via Chunnel , France ,Belgium, Germany. Arrived in Denmark on Saturday. So a few days ago.

we have been on the beach after which the msgs arrived.

theee confirmed it was from them. And there are no charges.

any thoughts as support couldn’t explain how /why….????

Hey cdagnan,

Welcome to the community. This isn't entirely unknown to happen. Usually it's over a border though, e.g. US/Canada or Greece/Turkey. You may have came in range of a cruise ship that was registered in Cape Verde, and passing near the beach in question?

That's just a theory of course, I've asked a tech specialist to have a look into it. I'll let you know what they say.

Just to update on this, without accessing the account to look into things further, we won't be able to determine the cause for certain.

I'm fairly certain you latched onto the mast of a passing ship though. If you want to get this checked further then customer services will need to raise a case to our service desk to investigate.
