Hi

i depend on WiFi calling as we have no signal. It worked fine, I went on holiday p, used an eSIM and since I came back a week ago, it hasn’t worked.

ive switched phone off and on, switched off WiFi calling and back on, can’t find VoLTE as mentioned in some posts. Phoned Three but they said it’s nothing to do with them.

It’s a iPhone 14.

any help?

thanks

There was an issue with a carrier update which has now been resolved. If you go into the settings menu general/about then scroll down to network provider and it should say Three 64.2. If it says Three 64.1 simply tap it and it should offer you an update. Accept the update and that will then solve your problem.

thanks for your reply.

I had actually tried that, but just realised i had been going to settings>about> then down to software information, but i followed your advice correctly and see `3` opposite network, tapping that does nothing sadly.

And yes i have been in to software update, it was last updated on the 5th of March.

I have been having the same problem with no wi-fi calling after 8 years of working fine. I have followed your instructions and it says Three 50.1. When I tap it just changes to IMS Status   Voice & SMS. This is the first time I've used this forum so I don't know how it works. DW

It’s obvious that your carrier settlngs are out of date which is preventing you from using WiFi calling ! Normally when you tap on network provider if there’s an update (which there certainly is as we’re now up to Three 66.0) you are given the option to accept the new settings and away you go. My suggestion would be to reset your network settings which you can do from your phones menu. It should then restart with updated settings.

Hi…I’m also new to this forum game and have exactly the same issue as Cymro 1951 with the same result when I follow your earlier instructions. I’ve now also done a network reset but still get 50.1. My WiFi calling has been fine for 9years and I also rely on WiFi calling. I’ve rung 3 and this does seem to be a problem, but all I get is that they will update me within 7days. Why can’t this stuff just work!

Hi @webblewitch,

Sorry to hear you've also been experiencing issues with your WiFi calling. Which model of phone are you using? Have you checked to make sure that your software is fully up to date, in case this is preventing the carrier settings from updating too?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Sorry for not replying earlier……everything went into junk file! You’re gonna say I’m out of date but I’m using an iphone 7plus. I’ve done everything I can think of….including checked all software up to date, toggling airplane mode….torn my hair out!😵💫.

Like Cymro 1951, I get provider detail 50.1 and if I press that just get Voice &SMS…no sign of update to anything remotely in the 60s! Wifi calling has worked fine up until last week for years and it’s not just me, my husbands phone went off same time.

Yes, exactly the same. Have you reported it to 3 Tech guys. The more they hear, the more likely it's fixed. It's worked on wi-fi intermittently today. I was promised yesterday a text within 7 days as have others. It's very strange that it's coincided with 3G being switched off.

Hi fellow sufferer! Did you get your 7day callback? Cos I didn’t! So I’ve just had another discussion with the customer services…..they said there is an issue with having to ‘reconfigure their equipment on the mast'……..that’s what they said last week! I complained that 3 are happy to take our money but I’m not getting what I pay for and when they promise to keep everyone updated they’re not doing this either.
Both my husband and I are having to make phone calls in the garden to get a connection!

I didn't get a text message in 7 days so I called them from the car yesterday. The so-called tech people that answer the calls obviously don't know what's going on but after 25 minutes he arranged no charge to my account for the next 7 days. If you have access to a landline you can call them free on 0800 033 8006. Please don't give them any respite as this is the only way we'll get it resolved.

Oh don’t worry I’m not letting them off the hook! I’ve got (apparently) a phone call coming next Wednesday to give me an update and when this is sorted we will talk compensation for length of time it’s out.
