moved to three with number on iphone 12 but unable to receive text SMS
I’ve recently moved my service and number to three but since my number moved no one can sms me. Imessage works fine and I can call and surf and I can send texts outbound, but when people try to SMS text me the message does not go through at all – they immedaitly get a message saying “not sent”. I’ve put the 3 SIM into my partners android phone and the sms works fine incoming and out no issues – but when I’ve put the SIM into either my old iphone 6 or current iphone 12, the SMS incoming does not work, so it appears to be an issue with the 3 network and the apple phones.
I’ve tried various steps including
Turning imessage and facetime on and off
Going into airplane mode and back in
Logging out of my apple account and logging back in again
I’ve checked within settings>apps>phone that the number which appears there is my correct number
I’ve taken the SIM out and shut down the phone, and restarted the phone and put the SIM back into the phone
Ive reset the network settings
I’ve checked that the three APN settings which are being uploaded by the sim within the phone are correct
I’ve done a hard reset of the phone
The only thing I’ve not done is a full factory reset of the phone
I’m at a loss now as to why SMS incoming is not working? If I cant get this fixed I’ll need to change networks, but its frustrating as it should work

You've definitely taken the right steps trying to resolve. Porting can take up to 24 hours for the full service to be up and running. This should be working for you now.
However, please let us know if you're still having problems with sending SMS.

When was your number ported?
If it wasn't for you saying works fine on Android (but now I'm thinking it could work if RCS is active) I would have said this sounds a lot like a porting problem.
