i’ve recently got my new phone (12th feb) and i haven’t had service for over a week; everytime i check the three website it says they’re trying to fix it in my area and it updates every 30mins saying the same thing. it seems as though they’re not really trying to fix it. i’ve done the online chat thing but that wasn’t helpful as the contract is in my dads name they needed him to contact them and he has but nothing has come from it. i’ve tried everything recommended (phone off and on, airplane mode off and on, reset my network settings) and nothing has worked. i can’t receive/ make texts and calls. has this happened to anyone else and has it been fixed???

I'm in CB4 3ND and just got a new sim card (I'm traveling in UK for a 6 weeks) and I'm getting the same. The status reports the same for the past few days which makes me feel it's a generic status. I tried their support chat - just sat there for 30 minutes with "waiting for an agent". Tried to call their support and just got rerouted to a link to check network status. Their network coverage says I've got 4G coverage all around me but it hasn't work for days now. The only place I can get any coverage outside my airbnb is on eduroam wireless when I'm near a college. I'm not able to send texts and all my apps report no internet coverage. I'm seriously debating about moving to another cell provider. I don't have another phone to test the SIM but it works fine with my AT&T International plan so I think it's the 3 (lack of) network.

UPDATE: this is very embarrassing to admit but my issue was that I paid on the previous SIM card I had from my trip in 2022 (the account was still tied to the 3 app on my phone) and so my new sim/phone # from this week did not have the 25 GB data plan I paid for. 🙄 Now on to see if I can get it switched over and hope that resolves my network access.
The complaint about the online status reports is still valid however - I feel it's a generic message that is not very helpful at all.

Glad it's sorted. As for our dear friend the Network Status Checker it is junk. I have had the message for my area for more than 2 weeks but I do hope they are doing something. Data speed has been so bad I have put a Vodafone sim in slot 2 and it's better for data and the phone keeps showing that it's using sim 2, which is Vodafone.

What is the first part of your postcode as there may be someone close by who can check to see if there phone is working. It could be that you have a duff sim so can you try it in another phone?
