Hi @ryy22,
Great questions. In terms of the offer to upgrade, it's an early upgrade fee that is being waived, so you would still have to pay the early termination fee if switching before the contract end date. Early termination fees are equal to 97% of the remaining monthly charges.
There's a few ways you can do this. You can call us to give a 30 day notice and cancel, or we do have a couple of options specifically for switching that are quicker.
You can request a PAC (Port Authorisation Code) if taking your number with you. You give this code to the new provider and they'll move over your existing number to their service. This also cancels the Three account the same day that you move the number.
If you don't need or want your existing number then you can also request a STAC (Service Termination Authorisation Code). If you give this code to a new provider, they can schedule to switch off your Three account on a date they agree with you, so there's no or minimal overlap in paying for both services.
For all methods I've described, if your cancellation date is before the contract date then we do apply that early termination fee, and it'll be included in a final bill posted to you within 38 days of leaving. The fee is based on when your line is cancelled, not when you tell us you're looking into cancelling though. Feel free to get in touch with 333 to discuss this anytime, or if you'd like to discuss the reason you're considering switching on the community, we'll be happy to help with advice, or take any feedback you'd like to give?
Here's more information on leaving Three. That page gives some more detail about the codes and how to request them.
Hope this helps, and please let me know if you need any further help or advice with this.
Thanks,
JonathanB

Talk to customer services on 333. EE fiddle things so that you end up with a 25 month contract if you want to avoid paying them a month and your new provider's first month.

I recently signed a contract with your office at Portsmouth CITY centre but the network coverage in my area is so poor and cannot serve my purpose.
I demand the contract be cancelled and I was told it has been cancelled but I don't have my SIMPARK Code and I was sent a bill.
Please cancel my contract because the newtork coverage here is so bad and I was told it was been worked on since Last week. It has frustrated me, contract is a value chain and if I can't get value for what I wanted, I can't pay for it.
I had to go back and get another network so I could get on with my work
Please cancel my contract now.
