I'm in Rome and I have turned on roaming but I keep getting the £2.00 daily charge text message. I'm getting these texts about every 30 minutes, maybe more often.
I'm hoping this is an error.

I actually contacted 3 via the chat function and I think what was happening was because I had automatic connect to network on.
I had been trouble free in Paris and hadn't known I'd need to do turn manual selection of network on.
I looked at my out of allowance charges and saw that I'd been charged a few times. I guess this happened when I lost connection to WINDTRE and used a non 3-friendly service. This possibly triggered the message about the £2 charge.
On my second day I manually selected WINDTRE and had no issues. I think I'll put it down as a lesson learnt or maybe even get an eSim next time. I used an eSim when I travelled for 2 months and it was a much easier experience.

Your best bet is to speak to customer service rather than crossing your hopeful fingers.

Thankfully the texts seem to have stopped.
I did think about ringing, but not sure how simple that is from Rome.
I was in Paris a month ago and had no issues. I saw someone else post something similar too, and they were told it was a glitch. So hopefully just that.

Hey @nidriks
Glad to hear that these have now stopped for you. Hope it didn't disturb your trip too much!
