Hello I’d like some advice please I got a SIM card in September but other day it said you can upgrade today you maybe able to upgrade today without having to pay a early upgrade fee but when I go to pick a iPhone it says I’ve gotta pay over £300 as a one off payment spoke to two different people on the chat ro us and one said I don’t have to pay a early upgrade fee amd one said I have to pay a fee of £277 amd then got told to wait till after 17th December this year to upgrade but haven’t paid the bills on time the only bill that should get paid on time should be Novembers bill of not them none of them have been paid on time would this stop me from upgrading from a SIM card ro a device plan or not

Hello there. 

It sounds like there has been some confusing back and forth. If you're on a SIM plan already and it has a minimum term of 2 years, you'd normally need to see that through. The team can upgrade you onto a phone plan while you're in the current SIM only contract, but it would need to be a minimum of 3 months old, and you'd need to be moving to a device plan that has an air time plan that's equal to or greater than the current SIM plan you have. 

In relation to you payments, you can always attempt an upgrade on the account as long as it's current balance is up to date, however there is no guarantee the credit check will be passed, and the odds of passing one do go down if you have a recent history of not paying the monthly bill.

Hello I’ve not paid Septembers and Octobers bills on time and Novembers bill has not been paid on time either but got told I’d be able to upgrade after 17th December but yesterday received a call from 0333 338 1063 saying I have to wait another 90 days to upgrade so I’m confused even more was the phone call legit or a scam

I'm unsure of what phone call you're referring to, did someone call you to make the offer? If you're unsure, I'd recommend reaching out to the support team on 333 or Chat in order to verify if you've indeed been speaking to Three, and to confirm what options are actually available to you.

The number rang me other after speaking to three on chat and they basically told me I can’t upgrade for another 90 days I’m just confused would you say double check on the chat to find out what’s going on?

Since there's no way to check your details or contract from here, and you had some conflicting information previously, the only way to get that clarified would have been to speak to the team. If you've received a call from the team after you reached out to them informing you that you won't be able to do it for at least 90 days, it sounds like that's the advice I would run with.
