How do you change your number due to a risk to personal security if you have a three contract?

Hi @Jj,

Please contact customer services, they'll be happy to help change your mobile number. If you're feeling threatened or in danger please contact the emergency services on 999.

If you're in a vulnerable situation, you can also contact specialists in our Customer Wellness Team, they're available 0900-1730 Monday to Friday.

Thanks,
Jonathan

Hello

Thanks for getting back to me

I called customer service and they said I can’t change a number which is on contract. Is this correct?

Hi @Jj,

We definitely have a process for changing your phone number. If you make multiple requests we may need to apply an admin fee for this though. We may have to decline or delay the request if there's other requests pending on your account, or if the account balance is overdue.

Did the team give you an explanation of why they couldn't update the number for you?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Hi @Bramka969, welcome to Three Community!

As @Piccolo1980 has advised, you'll need to ask your old provider for a PAC to move your existing phone number to your new Three plan.

If you already have your PAC, have you had trouble using it? What's happening, if so? Are you getting an error when using our online switching form or the Three app?

Let us know a little more and we'll do all we can to help 😊

I think you want to keep your old number. You’ll need a PAC code to keep your number when you change network. Text ‘PAC’ and your date of birth (DDMMYY) to 65075. For example: PAC 071281
