Incorrect Multiple texts on allowance for a certain day

I only sent 3 texts to a friend number on a certain day and yet when I checked my allowance it shows I sent 11 when I've sent 3 to this number. 

Has anyone experienced the same where the amount don't match what was actually physically sent? It usually asks for me to resend manually if it fails to send due to poor signal or something but no such thing showing to indicate failure to send which is odd

Hello, Vamp. 

If a text message gets longer than 160 characters, or 70 characters if emojis or other special characters are used, it is broken up and sent as multiple messages. This might be why you're seeing more messages show up in the allowance usage.
