New user, SMS woes

Switching from GiffGaff to Three, first of all, the SMS with my number doesn't come through when I put the SIM in, and I have to speak through live chat, then I go to create my account and it won't send me the verification code! What a way to welcome a new user!

I dial 333, hoping to speak to a human and there's literally no option to! All I can do is make a complaint! This is a great start, only switching to have a stable signal in the Scottish Highlands, where O2 can't quite get it. I'm thinking I should have switched to EE at this rate...

 

Whatever is going on with SMS, it's not great. Back to online chat again. If only there was a human to speak too...

Three are doing a system upgrade and are incapable of doing this in the background.  I received this text:

Hello. We’ll be doing an essential system update between Thursday 3 and Sunday 6 August.​ ​

Your phone won’t be affected over this weekend, and you’ll still be able to call, text and use data as usual. ​​

However, during this update, you’ll have limited access to Three app and My3.  ​
