No refund from Three

Fledgling

I entered into a 24 month plan for an Iphone 14 pro max back in December 2022. The contract should have ended last November 2024. Three continued to bill and now they refuse to refund me for the extra three months I paid. When I tried to have a conversation about with their customer support they closed the chat. Shame on you

They do this 'rolling monthly contract' when your 'actual contract' finishes to make money out of you. I tried to cancel my sons that I paid for, (for 4 years) on the my3 app via live chat. I was told I can't cancel it online, I must call and speak to an agent. It'd be easier to speak to the pope! After atleast 20 attempts, some on hold for 50+ mins, and several unanswered emails I gave up. I cancelled my bank payment knowing they would contact me. They did..by letter! Telling me to call!! Again, no joy. The following month another letter to say they would cancel my contract and add a fee of £6 for late payment. A few weeks later another letter to say a debt agency would be contacting me. I did recieve said letter from Lowells. I paid the £25 owed in under 10 mins! Three have the WORST customer services I've ever come across in my 51 yrs of life! Awful company!

Customer service on Three is a long long way from being adequate but I’ve never yet had a situation you describe although I’m still in contract so the situation isn’t arising. The point I was making previously is that the person failed to read the Ts and Cs and then blamed the company for his own shortcomings. I feel for you in your experience of customer service;perhaps the forthcoming merger will change things although I won’t be holding my breath.

It clearly says in the Ts and Cs that after your minimum period ends (in your case November 2024) that your account will continue on a month by month basis until you  close it. That’s the same for all contract customers and (as far as I’m aware) all networks. So no refund is due to you and shame on you for not making yourself aware of the terms and conditions.
