Hi all
I have received a reminder that my contracted airtime plan is due to expire next month. I had the intention of switching this to a PAYG option.
I spoke to Live Chat and they have informed me it's not possible to transfer to a PAYG 'plan' from my current pay monthly. That's fine. I've been with Three a long time but perhaps it's time to go to something more flexible, without a contracted monthly payment - so I am going to get myself a"proper" PAYG eSIM (no contract) with another provider.
However, I cannot find anywhere in my 'self-service' account, on the app or on the web, to cancel the airtime plan when the minimum contracted date comes around. The only options are to upgrade to another plan. I can't seem to find anything in the FAQs either.
Of course, I still need to keep up with my device payments until that has ended also, but in the meantime I want to switch to a different provider and keep my number.
If I just go ahead and request a PAC code, will this achieve want I want?
Cheers

Hi there @dylthree,
Thanks for reaching out to us here.
If you were looking to cancel outright, this can be done via Customer Services.
You are correct in that requesting a PAC and giving this to an another provider will lead to your Three account automatically cancelling once your number switches over successfully 🙂
As you can request the PAC through self-serve, it can save speaking to an agent. However, if the PAC isn't given to another network and activated, your Three account would remain active.
Additionally, as your device plan is a separate agreement, you will continue paying this as normal, even if you switch your number elsewhere.
Thanks,
Michael
