Upgrade Upfront payment

Dale2011
Fledgling

HI,

I upgraded my contract this morning via 333 and I had to pay £40 upfront. I entered my card number etc. But nothing has been taken from my bank account. I have spoken with my bank and they say I have no pending transactions. My phone is due to be delivered tomorrow.

What do I do?

Hi @Dale2011,

That's very odd. Usually it does take a couple of days for a transaction to pass between the bank or card issuer and Three, but you should see your available balance reduce, and on online/telephone banking there'll be a pending transaction.

I'll send a PM to get you in touch with some colleagues that can take a closer look.

Is this not called ringfenced if am not wrong we're the amount would debited from his bank but wouldn't actually see three debit the transaction, I had the same from Vodafone took upfront and seen it then it disappeared when I spoke to the bank they say.

The money drops back into the bank but it's weird as you never see if going in or out
