5G Greenpacket Y5-210MU Issues

Good Evening,

I've been a Three customer for the last few months, and I've had numerous issues with this router (mostly the same problems as other posts suggest, such as it locking up and dropping connections), but that's a different story for another day!

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue. The router is currently running firmware version 130.00100.113.037 following a factory reset. This must be a recently updated firmware version, as the router now shows Advanced --> System --> Update in the menu, whereas previously, it used to show TR-069. When the router displayed TR-069, you could amend the settings; however, now that it shows 'Update', the only option is to upload a new firmware file.

Within 24 hours of the factory reset, when I log back into the router, the web UI is broken. I can't see the firmware version or connection status, and I'm greeted with a "cmd execute error" on every page, as shown in the attached screenshot. A factory reset brings the web UI back, but only until the next day, when the router presumably pulls a dodgy firmware update, and I'm presented with the same issue.

Is anyone else running this firmware version and experiencing the same issue? Screenshot 2025-10-07 at 18.11.10.png

Has anyone had any success in breaking their contract with Three over these router issues? I'm at the end of the road with this (short of spending a few hundred quid on a router which works).

I've spent literally 10s of hours on this over the last few months, and this update to firmware version 130.00100.113.037 is the straw which has broken the camel's back. Since this update, the admin UI is only functional for a few hours before you have to reboot the router to bring it back to life!

I dont suppose by any miracle anyone knows of a way to roll the firmware back? I can't find a download of version 130.00100.113.024 available anywhere online 🙁

That's a strange issue. I'm not aware of their being an update beyond that version, so I'm not sure what it would be trying to download, but I'm not in the loop at the moment, so I could be wrong. Since no one else is having it though, it seems more likely that it's something else. I'll be able to catch up with the team on Monday to get more information, and hopefully that will give us some advice that's useful.

Pete.

Thanks for the reply @PeteG. When you say you're not aware of an update beyond that version, are you referring to v037?

After a reboot yesterday, I logged in today (about 17 hours later), and the admin UI was still up and working, whereas it would have previously fallen over by then (it has now, approximately 24 hours on and I'm back to the cmd execute errors).

I had misunderstood your post before, sorry. The v037 isn't one I've seen around before. I think I understand now that you're trying to go back to the v024 using the newly discovered update option within v037?

I don't know if that's possible. I can bring it up with some of our broadband people tomorrow when they are back, and ask what advice they have, or if downgrading is possible, and if there's a firmware file that can be linked or provided for doing something like that.

Thanks, Pete

The only reason for wishing to downgrade is that the admin UI in v037 is broken, as I mentioned in my original post. After a few hours, it breaks and is littered with "cmd execute error" messages on every page until you restart the router.

Any help your broadband guys can provide would be appreciated!

Hello.

It looks like the v037 rollout was stopped. The team are currently investigating. Would you be able to send me a PM by clicking on my name, then on the right hand side you'll see an option to send me a message. Could you send me the IMEI number of your Hub? Could you also include any other hardware/software information on the page, such as IMSI, APN, anything else like that?

Cheers.

I wish it had been stopped before I got it! 😂

I've just sent you the information you've asked for.

Thanks

@PeteG I've just logged in and I'm now back on version 130.00100.113.024, so I'm assuming your team pushed rollback out.

Thanks for your help with this.

That's good to hear @settloe_99, is everything working okay since the rollback?

Thanks,
Jonathan
