5G Greenpacket Y5-210MU Issues

Good Evening,

I've been a Three customer for the last few months, and I've had numerous issues with this router (mostly the same problems as other posts suggest, such as it locking up and dropping connections), but that's a different story for another day!

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue. The router is currently running firmware version 130.00100.113.037 following a factory reset. This must be a recently updated firmware version, as the router now shows Advanced --> System --> Update in the menu, whereas previously, it used to show TR-069. When the router displayed TR-069, you could amend the settings; however, now that it shows 'Update', the only option is to upload a new firmware file.

Within 24 hours of the factory reset, when I log back into the router, the web UI is broken. I can't see the firmware version or connection status, and I'm greeted with a "cmd execute error" on every page, as shown in the attached screenshot. A factory reset brings the web UI back, but only until the next day, when the router presumably pulls a dodgy firmware update, and I'm presented with the same issue.

Is anyone else running this firmware version and experiencing the same issue? Screenshot 2025-10-07 at 18.11.10.png

The admin UI is usable again now. 👍

I've had other issues with the router, but these are the same issues that have been well documented by other users, such as @MymsMan

It is a great pity that that has not yet been any comment on this thread by any of the Three forum moderation team 😥

@PeteG et al where are you?

AFAIK noone else has confirmed receiving the updated firmware update and associated problems

Are you logging in using the admin userid?  You don't see the TR069 settings if you are using the user userid

AFAIK you are the first user to report a new firmware version number

There has always been an Update option but no known source of firmware update files!

Not good if the web UI is broken,   I don't think I will rush to try for the upgrade

Yes, I'm logging in with the admin userid. I've never used the userid login.

Interestingly, I've just logged in to check, and I'm already getting the 'cmd execute error,' and I'm back to blank firmware fields, etc., as per this screenshot. I don't think the router has installed a firmware update since I factory reset it at around 7pm tonight, as I've been streaming TV since I clicked submit on my original post. There's been no break in the internet connection, so the router can't have restarted after a firmware update. As you'll see from the screenshot, though, the only information I now get is CPU and RAM. All other fields are blank again, and the page loads with cmd execute error.

@MymsMan Which firmware version are you showing?

Those command execute errors make the web it unusable,

Normally is would suggest looking at the logs but you wont even be able to get to the download page.

It might be worth tryng the user userid to see if the results are the same

I have Software Version130.00100.113.024 which most users seems to have

So I've just tried logging in with the user userid, and I get the same issue. I can download the log files, so I've done that and can confirm there has been no restart or firmware update since I factory reset it last night. Clearly, this is a significant bug in version 130.00100.113.037, which Three has kindly provided me with! 😡

I'm now stuck with a router where the admin webpage is unusable until presumably a fix is released. If anyone from Three is reading this, I'd welcome your comments on this!

Whilst I'm pretty technically competent, I'm not qualified to review the log files in any detail; however, I have run them through ChatGPT, which has pointed out the following errors in them:

I don't think I've ever come across an ISP router before which is bricked to this degree from a firmware update and I find it staggering from reading the other posts about these routers that Three aren't banging down Greenpackets door to sort this mess out!
