I have a NR5103v2 5G router which I which to only use as a modem to a router I already have. Out of the box if I just use the 5G router I get download speeds of up to 700 Mbps, but usually around 200-300 Mbps. But if I put the 5g router into passthrough mode I get a pitiful 10 Mbps.
- Set my router to use 1000 duplex on the ethernet connection to the 5G router.
- Disabled IPv6 on 5G router.
- Enabled passthrough mode on 5G router and used passthrough to a fixed MAC address of the other router
- Opened firewall of the 5G router
- Used DHCP relay to point to other router. So it should handled any DHCP requests, not the 5G router.
I can see the full gigabit duplex is enabled but yet the download speed is severely throttled.
Any ideas?
