Hi
As title suggests, I am moving home in the next few months but coverage checker says 5G is not available in the area. When I search what is available at my new address, it suggests I upgrade to an Outdoor 5G router. I wouldn't be opposed to this as the signal I get at my current home is great and very reliable however, if 5G is unavailable in my new area, how will the 5G router be able to work? Does it just pull 4G signal?
I'm only 6 months into a 24-month deal (which I didn't think I would ever cancel given you can just pick the hub up and move it anywhere) however, we didn't intend to be moving this soon. Will the outdoor router work or will I have to cancel and pay early-exit fees?
There's potentially something quite technical that I am missing but coverage checker says absolutely no 5G coverage (although the map does show areas of outdoor 5G so maybe that's where I'm going wrong) so unsure why it is suggesting I get the outdoor router.
Thanks!

Hey @amloustew,
It sounds like a 5G outdoor router may be best suited for your new home address.
I'd reach out to our Broadband Support team at 0333 338 1003 or start a live chat with the team. They'll be able to check out the new postcode and advise if you're able to upgrade to this device.
Thanks,
Kate
