My broadband has been slow for over 3 weeks now (DD11 area)
I have contacted 3 and keep getting the same answer that their is work going on in my area and they do not know when it will be complete. I am looking to try and find out more info as to when the work will be finished. Are there any other channels or do I just have to sit it out?

Hi,
I'm at G81 ***. My router has line of sight to the mast, 400 yards away. Our download speed has been below 50kb/s for ten days now with no real info as how this "local mast work" will last.

Hi JH,
Welcome to the Three Community.
I'm sorry to hear that you've been struggling with such slow speeds recently. Is it at all times of day, or has this been an intermittent issue?
Are you seeing anything about this issue on our Network Status Checker? Have you been in contact with any of our teams, if so, what did they advise?
Thanks,
JonathanB

Been the same for me. Lucky to get a decent connection in the small hours of the morning, but even then it's not for long. Absolutely dreadful service.

Hey @The_Stranger,
I'm sorry to hear that you've been running into speed issues too. Just to clarify are you in the same area, DD11, or are you having a similar problem for somewhere else?
Have you been in in touch with customer services, if so what have they advised?

Birmingham for me. It's a problem that started weeks ago with a spotty 4G connection that struggled to afford me 1 or 2 mbs. Now I can't connect to 4G at all; just stopped connecting a night ago and I can't reconnect to it anymore, only 3G.
I spoke with customer service on Saturday, but they couldn't help then and there, so they passed my problem on to tech support. Whether something comes of it is anyone's guess. My internet is now so slow I struggle to load webpages, and I can't do anything of the usual things I do.
Ordered a free EE sim to see if their service is any better because this sort of nonsense has just gone on for far too long.

Hi
Can you let me know how EE is?
Have you ordered a new mobile router from EE or just the sim card to put in your Three router?
Cheers

Sure! I hope the sim will arrive either today or tomorrow.
I'm using an unlocked router I bought from Amazon, so I can use it with whatever network I like as long as I have the sim for it. At the time I really didn't want to enter into a contract with Three just so I could get a router, and with their service becoming so bad lately I'm glad I didn't.

Hey mikedry, thanks for posting here on Three Community.
Slow broadband is a real pain, I'm sorry there's an issue impacting your connection. It can sometimes be difficult to provide a great depth of detail on faults, other than updates on when the work should be complete.
Three weeks is a long time though. Did the team sort your line rental out when you last spoke with them? Did they ask you to check back in 7 days or advise that they'd be back in touch at all?
