TCP IPV6 causing slowdowns on Windows 11 wireless connections

MymsMan

For several days I have been trying to track down the cause of varying download speed when using wireless connections to the eero hub.  After several false leads I found pages  on Google suggesting disabllng TCP IPV6 in my WiFi adapter -  I tried that and have had 24hours of consistently high speed test results since then.

Diasbling TCP IPV6 is OK as a workaround but is not recommended as a long term solution.

Are there any settings in Windows or the Eero that that will allow for high speed downoads with TCP IPV6 enabled?

Is the problem a bug in Windows and/or the Eero

Hey there.

Oh, it's good that you've found a temporary solution to the issue. I haven't come across the issue before, and if the windows machine is the only wireless network device that's actually having the issue, I'd assume it's an issue with windows, or the wireless adapter on the machine.

It might be worth checking the wireless settings on that device, as well as checking the drivers are up to date. It might be worth just reinstalling the drivers to be on the safe side.

Pete.
