I've had 5G Three Home Broadband since January 2022 and it has all worked fine until May 2023. Since then apart from a generally unreliable network connection and reduced speeds, my main gripe has to be connecting to my works VPN. I just cannot make a reliable VPN connection - even when the general state of the network seems fine.
The upload speed on VPN is so low it is unusable. While not connected to VPN the speeds may show 30Mbps download & 8Mbps upload. When connected to VPN the upload speed drops to less than 0.5Mbps.
I can use the same laptop in another location using a different broadband provider with no discernible reduction in speed when connected to VPN. Anyone else experienced this and found a resolution ? Thanks.

Hi JonathanB
I have just seen this from you - Yes that solution has fixed my issues, my VPN works as it should since made those changes, most important I would say is to change APN from 3internet to three.co.uk ....
I would advise all struggling to set up these changes, I am positive many if not everybody will succeed

Had an issue with my VPN as well, setting to manual APN IP4 advice helped me here

Hi Everyone,
I've noticed a few discussions cropping up about issues using VPNs over Three Broadband connections recently. I'm sending everyone that has mentioned this so far a PM so that we can get you in touch with some colleagues that will verify your accounts, and gather more info to help us investigate.
If you're experiencing this issue but haven't posted yet, please add a reply so that I can get in touch, the more examples I can gather, the easier it should be for our support teams to pinpoint what's causing the issues.

Hi Jonathan, I am guessing that there is no solution to this problem yet. I have just move my property and got 3broadband. I work from home via VPN but the connection is so slow that I am hotspoting my computer from my Vodafone mobile. Can you help?

My three 5g home internet has stopped connecting to my works VPN.
It used to work fine from Nov23 till April24.
After that it does not connect to my works VPN at all.
Very disappointing.

Hi,
I have received my router today, tried to set up and cannot access my work VPN either. I also can't manually change any of the settings in the router Admin, as state that cannot be done while Router is connected, but when I turn it off, I can't access the Admin page at all 😞
If I can't use for work VPN, there is zero point in having signed up.

Hi Johnathan,
Im having similar issues - started in Oct last year (2023), unable to connect through Cisco AnyConnect VPN for works laptop. My team have spend a number of hours trying to resolve but feel its not a company issue as my laptop can connect through VPN over a number of other networks.

Hi @pama22101,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you about this. Can you let me know in a bit more detail what VPN you're using, and what happens when you're connecting to it?
Thanks,
Jonathan
