Can I keep my number with the new iPhone 14 Max Pro having a new Sim 5 G ready

As in the title, will I be able to upgrade from iPhone X to 14 with 5G ready SIM and keep my cld number? I have always thought the number is assigned to a SIM card, so not sure I would keep the old number on the new SIM card.

Hello.

Yeah, you'll be able to keep your number when upgrading. If you get a new SIM card as part of the upgrade, the number will transfer onto that new SIM once you put it into the new phone.
