Am on a sim only plan not a three your way plan iphone 14 pro max am looking to get a 16 pro but would like to convert to esim.
How can I do this? On the my3 app I went to help and pressed replace sim nothing happened also there is no option to convert sim to esim on the same device which apparently iphone can do as per the 3 esim support page.
Is the only way to convert to esim to ring customer service and get qr code and code emailed out? Also as soon as they do this does it disconnect your physical sim even if you haven't activated the QR code? I thought only when you start activation does the physical sim disconnect

Use your pc's web browser to log into your My3 account, click More Actions, then Replace SIM. There you can order a pay as you go eSIM to replace your physical SIM. You will receive email notification when the eSIM preparation is finished -- this would deactivate your current physical SIM immediately. When this is noticed, go back to the web browser My3 account and click More Actions, then Activate SIM. You will find the instruction there, with a QR code and a 4-digit confirmation code to let you use the Add eSIM under the Settings | Mobile Service of your iPhone to activate your new pay as you go eSIM.
The above works for me just an hour ago on my iPhone SE (3rd generation). Good luck!
Note: Don't do the above with the My3 App on your phone. It doesn't work.

Thanks for getting in touch. You won't be able to select an eSIM option unless you're on one of our Three Your Way plans. Sorry we don't have better news on this occasion!

This page says that you can get an esim on sim only plans and can do sim to esim quick transfer if both phones are on ios18 is this not correct?
